The gate valve is a multi-turn valve that is installed in the pipeline as an isolation valve for full open and close service.
The valve is operated by a threaded stem forcing the gate to the two seats and blocking the fluid. The seats are normally metal with hard facing(stellite CoCrW or SS Overlay) to ensure a long working life. It can also be a soft seat for specified services like water.
Gate valves are widely used for all types of applications and are suitable for various fluids such as water, oil, steam, gas, and slurry.

Easy, lockable operation comes from reasonable gland nut torque, long-thread stems, and durable stem nuts, while handwheels/gears include lockable structures for secure handling.
